Dear Readers
God loves man and wants man to love Him and to trust Him
Sometimes we look around at all the evil things in the world and we may ask: “Where is God? He should be here and bang His fist on the table and restore order. He should punish bad people severely.” But God is also patient and merciful. He has eternity at His disposal. Here on earth He gives us time to correct our mistakes and repent for our sins. He prolongs the time of mercy because of His patience.
Many people may have a fear of a just and omnipotent God who has power over wind, water, gravity, physics, etc. God’s power is infinite or limitless. He is all-knowing in the sense that he is aware of the past, present and future. People go to church and obey the Commandments out of fear instead of out of love. God is also LOVE. Love is His greatest attribute. He loves man and wants man to love Him and to trust Him. His love is for free. Justice is for something, for good or bad, but not love.
God loves you and He won’t stop loving you even if tomorrow you’re going to be ten times worse than today. His love does not depend on your moods and actions. God is love and you are His child.
God loved you so much that He gave His only Son to die for you and me. My name is Peter and I am a sinner. I should hang on the cross but Jesus took my place. He died instead of me, instead of each single person on this planet. Jesus proves you are worthy to die for.
I can approach His cross and wash my hands, heart, soul and mind in His most holy and precious blood that washes away all my sins. You can do the same.
Jesus, I know You are here. Embrace us with Your love. Increase our faith. St Michael the Archangel, lead us to God. Amen.
